Calling all food bloggers! I am excited to share a really fun recipe contest with you guys! As you probably already know, I am constantly trying out substitutions for butter in my recipes with things like applesauce, yogurt, or healthier oils such as olive oil. Did you know that you could also substitute grapeseed oil for butter? If you haven’t tried it, here is your chance!

Win a trip to BlogHer Food ’13 by entering the Pompeian Grapeseed Oil recipe contest! Just for entering, Pompeian will send you a voucher for one free bottle of Pompeian oil. All you have to do is create a recipe that usually contains butter or vegetable oil and substitute it with Pompeian’s Grapeseed Oil or OlivExtra Premium Mediterranean Blend and then submit the recipe and photo on your blog and head over to the Pompeian’s Time to Change Your Oil App to share a link to your blog, enter your contact info and click SUBMIT!

The lucky winner will be selected by Hungry Girl Lisa Lillien and will receive an all-expense paid trip to BlogHer Food ’13 in Austin, TX June 7-8. Plus, their recipe will be featured with Pompeian throughout the event!

I have been using grape seed oil in all of my cooking for the past year. I love that it is so high in Omega-6, has a high smoked point and doesn’t have as strong flavor as olive oil. It is so easy to work with!
