Peppermint Hot Chocolate #SundaySupper |

- 2 tbsp water
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups 2% milk
- ½ tsp peppermint extract
- 4 mini candy canes (plus crushed for topping)
- Whipped cream and chocolate syrup for topping
- Heat a medium pot over low heat and add water, cocoa powder and sugar. Whisk until smooth.
- Add the milk and heat until you see the first bubble form, whisking at least every 20 seconds.
- Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract.
- Pour into 4 glasses and top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and candy canes.
